Welcome!
As principal of St. Francis Borgia Grade School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school. Educating students for nearly 175 years, Borgia is a school community built on the values of faith, where our goal is to expand hearts and minds and nurture the love of learning. When you walk into our building, you can feel its warmth through our dedicated educators and engaged students. The environment is supportive and thrives on a tradition that provides trust and security. With the help of faculty, staff, and parents, SFBGS is a place where children grow in faith, grow in their talents, and challenge themselves.
Borgia is a co-educational Catholic grade school that begins with preschool and continues through eighth grade. With several options for preschoolers starting at age three, and full-day Kindergarten, our students embark on an academic journey that affords them the security of a familiar community during their formative years built on a firm foundation. We are a school of family, faith, and structure, with an individualized curriculum that meets students where they are to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
We welcome students of every religious belief, race, and ethnic origin. Our faculty and staff are committed to preparing our students with a great educational foundation and a strong understanding of moral responsibility. We are helping develop the future leaders of our community, of our world, and we understand the importance of providing a learning environment where students feel loved, safe, and inherently know they belong to a great school. The result produces individuals who are responsible, life-long learners, effective communicators, and problem solvers. Our students learn to rely on their faith and become active, contributing members of society.
At St. Francis Borgia, we take pride in maintaining high academic expectations and achievements among our students. Our students’ performance on local and standardized assessments are evidence that learning is the top priority. Additionally, our graduating students continuously succeed in high school, at both St. Francis Borgia Regional High School and other secondary educational institutions.
Another key piece of what makes Borgia distinctive is our mindfulness that each child is unique, bringing special talents and interests to our community. Our educators work diligently to create meaningful learning experiences within a student-centered environment motivating children to actively participate in their own education. We recognize the imperative need for students to understand how their classroom work translates to the world in which they live.
Thank you for considering St. Francis Borgia Grade School for your child’s education. SFBGS prides itself on providing academic excellence, a positive, welcoming community, respect for all, and strong faith formation.
